When the first version of a project didn't work, he built a second one.\n\nThe second one overheated?\n\nHe built a third.\n\nSomething exploded?\n\nHe analyzed it.\n\nHe went back to the drawing board and made improvements.\n\nEvery failure was input data for the next version of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
IT works exactly the same way.\n\nThe first dashboard is rarely perfect.\n\nThe first data model is almost never optimal.\n\nAnd the first automation usually has more workarounds than elegance.\n\nIf you're waiting for perfection, you won't build anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There's something else about him that I admire.\n\nHe lives in symbiosis with technology as a creator.\n\nI learned from him not to ask, \"Can this be done?\" but rather, \"How can this be done faster?\" or \"How can this be done more intelligently?\"\n\nHis engineering mindset is beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I try to bring that admiration into my own work.\n\nWhen I work with data, I first ask myself what I'm trying to achieve.\n\nOnly then do I look for a way to do it.\n\nEven if I don't yet know how, I ask artificial intelligence.\n\nNot mindlessly...\n\nI treat it as an extension of my mind and creativity.\n\nI test what it suggests, learning something new in the process.\n\nI check what happens if I change a single element.\n\nThe only limitation is my own mind.\n\nI decide where the ceiling of my skills and knowledge will be.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nThere's also something difficult about surrounding yourself with technology, especially if you forget how to talk to people who aren't technical.\n\nYou can be surrounded by technology...\n\nand feel lonely within it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can get excited about optimizing a query or creating an automation that does so much...\n\nand have no one around you who understands why it's so satisfying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony talked to J.A.R.V.I.S., an artificial intelligence.\n\nSometimes I talk to AI too.\n\nAlthough I know that all it takes is deleting its memory, and it won't remember me.\n\nIt can't replace a human being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And maybe that's why his character moves me so much.\n\nA genius surrounded by technology.\n\nAlone with the power of his mind.\n\nAnd yet still curious about \"what if.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is also someone who doesn't identify himself with a mistake.\n\nIf something doesn't work, it means the system needs improvement, not that he himself is inadequate.\n\nIn the technology industry, it's very easy to confuse a tool with your identity.\n\nIf a project didn't work out, it doesn't mean you're not good enough.\n\nIf a recruiter didn't reply, it doesn't mean you lack competence.\n\nThat was version 1.\n\nBuild version 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I fell in love with two men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second one flies.\n\nAnd he taught me to build despite my doubts.\n\nAnd maybe that's why technology fascinates me so much.\n\nMaybe that's why I want to see how high I can fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
